Pleasant is seeking resumes from service oriented, creative and self-directed individuals to fill the position of Budget Director/City Clerk. Pleasant community. The Budget Director/City Clerk is a department head level position and reports to the Assistant City Manager/Director of Finance. The position is a salaried, at-will position, and is responsible for performing a variety of budgetary, city clerk, and risk management activities requiring a high degree of accuracy. Successful candidates will be analytical, possess strong research and problem solving skills and enjoy working in a team-based environment. Written and verbal communication skills are key to working with the City Commission, citizens and co-workers. Microsoft Office suite experience is necessary. The position requires a Bachelor degree in business administration with a major in finance, accounting, or related field with a minimum of three years responsible governmental budgeting or financial analysis and supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience sufficient to meet the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Village Treasurer (Village of Lyons) Village of Lyons, Ionia County is currently accepting application for the Office of Village Treasurer. This is a part time position, wage based on experience. NO PHONE CALLS ACCEPTED Duties of a village treasurer The treasurer shall: • Keeps an account of all receipts and expenditures. City Treasurer (Potterville, MI) Population 2,168. Salary Range : Up to $60,000 DOQ + Benefits. Council Manager form of government with a seven member council elected at large for four year terms. The Treasurer is appointed by and reports to the City Manager. Potterville is a full service city including sewer and water with a $1.8 million dollar budget and seven full time employees. Potterville is located 15 miles south of Lansing . The position requires as a minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Public Administration with a Master’s Degree in one of these areas preferred. Possession of a CPA would be a plus. The position requires 5 years experience as a Treasurer, Assistant/Deputy Treasurer or Finance Director. 5 years experience in the private sector in accounting or auditing would be acceptable. Experience in tax collection, reconciliation and disbursements is highly preferred.
