Advanced Institute is designed to provide members with credentials like the MiCPT and the CPFA an opportunity to further investigate topics in order to challenge themselves and advance their understanding of public treasury. Topics are often advanced and will include both on-the-job skills as well as a deeper look at developing interpersonal, leadership and management skills necessary to run a successful treasury office. There is always a heavy emphasis on peer learning and networking to ensure attendees develop professional resources.

Keynote Speaker Matt Booth
Keynote speaker Matt Booth will open Advanced Institute by sharing with attendees how we can all become Basically Incredible. Attitude, communication, taking care of ourselves, having a plan, and having a source of power are basic things that done consistently, lead to incredible things. Basic doesn’t mean easy, but it does mean worthwhile and effective. Are you ready to live a basically incredible life?

Matt will return to present the closing keynote presentation of the conference, "Staying Positive in a Negative World." In the current environment, your attitude - and the attitude of those around you - needs to be positive as often as possible. You'll learn and take home tools to navigate negativity, manage energy, understand engagement, plan your direction, and believe in your source of power. This unique and timely session will help you recognize the importance of a positive attitude and provide proven strategies to help improve the attitude within your organization.

Keynote speaker Matt Booth isn’t another talking head with a boring PowerPoint. He makes sure everyone participates in an interactive experience that engages, educates, entertains, and inspires attendees to act! Matt’s humor, quick wit, and ability to connect with people creates meaningful attitude changes. Matt has enjoyed sharing his message throughout the United States and with international audiences around the world.

Matt grew up on a farm in Southwest Wisconsin; he currently lives in Dubuque, Iowa on the banks of a small creek with his lovely wife Joie and their sons Carter and Graham. Matt enjoys hiking with his family, fishing with his boys and taking his wife out for dinner. Matt received his undergrad at University of Wisconsin and then graduated with his Master’s Degree in Communication from University of Dubuque. Most recently Matt was awarded the highly esteemed CSP, Certified Speaking Professional. The CSP designation is conferred by the National Speakers Association (NSA) only on those speakers who have earned it by meeting strict qualifying criteria.
