Cash Handling in a Changing World

There only used to be one way to pay for anything: cash. But our world has gotten smaller and faster, and treasury departments have adjusted policies to keep up with changing technologies. The pandemic has forced municipalities to think outside the box and truly get imaginative to create solutions that allow us to provide the necessary services to our residents while keeping them - and our employees - safe and healthy.

Have these transitions created a permanent model for us to follow? This session will take an in-depth look at how treasurers can take an advanced approach to fully implement new cash handling solutions necessitated by the restrictions caused by the pandemic. Speaker John Globensky is a long-time MMTA member, treasurer for the City of Grand Rapids, and recipient of both the PRIME Award and Dr. Jackson R.E. Phillips Award for his groundbreaking systems and procedures. John is a knowledgeable and entertaining speaker who frequently presents for MMTA and other organizations around the country. Only $49 for MMTA members.
