2023 Fall Conference

How you attend this year's Fall Conference is your choice: registration is available to attend in-person or online via our virtual livestreaming event. This year's Fall Conference has all of the great training that you've come to expect from MMTA. There will also be plenty of celebrations for the on-site attendees, including new and renewing MiCPTs certifications, the 2023 PRIME Award Honoree, and installation of the 2023-24 Board of Directors. The Association will also have its Annual Meeting (one for municipal members and a separate meeting for associate members). The municipal annual meeting will be included on the livestream. 

Registration Information
The registration fee for the conference is $399 for both in-person and online attendance. Please note: the virtual attendance will be for the livestream experience on September 24-27; we will make every effort to record all sessions but are not responsible for technical shortcomings or errors. 

Registrations received after September 1 will incur a $50 late fee. Cancellation requests must be made in writing (to [email protected]); full refund deadline is September 1; 50% refund deadline is September 14. Winery/Brewery Tour Event 

The Traverse City area is known for their amazing wineries and breweries. The conference planning committee is excited to offer attendees the ability to take part in a fun networking event that will highlight this local feature. Participants will choose between either the winery or the brewery tour at registration (NOTE: wine tour is sold out). The cost to participate in the tour is $20 per person, but please remember that this does not include tasting fees or beverage costs that may be charged at each venue. Conference attendees and guests are both welcome on the tour.

Hotel Information 
Utilize the MMTA group rate when making your reservations at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa. The following room types are available under the MMTA group contract on a first-come, first-served basis. To make your reservation, call the Resort directly at 800-236-1577 and reference code MMTA923 or use this link to get the following prices:

• Hotel Guestroom: $189/night
• Tower Guestroom: $250.95/night

Please note resort policies: an $20.95/night resort fee will be added to each stay. Room rates are subject to 5% CVB fee and 6% state tax fee. The resort fee includes unlimited use of resort fitness center, pools, and beachfront facilities, preferred pricing for golf and tennis facilities, high-speed internet, on-property shuttle service to the Turtle Creek Casino, and parking. Reservations for the group rate must be made by Thursday, August 24. First night deposit required at time of reservation, cancellations must be made three days before arrival and are subject to a $25 cancellation fee. Check-in time is 4:00 pm and check-out is at 11:00 am.
